Database Configuration Overview

The documentation will cover the configuration of SQL server and both the configuration and installation of Postgres. SQL Server can be installed using many different methods and is typically controlled by an enterprise standard so its installation is beyond the scope of this documentation. PostgreSQL can also be installed in many ways, but this documentation will cover its installation as knowledge of its installation is not as common or controlled, however PostgreSQL can be installed differntly than covered in this documentation and still be compatible with CenterScape.

Note: Only one database is supported so either SQL Server or PostgreSQL should be chosen. The prerequisite section covers the requirements in more detail.
